Default Can someone please explain to me why my windshield wipers shake and studder when on?

I thought it was my old stock wipers, so I bought some new Silblade wipers and they still shake and studder.
TIA!!<ul><li><a href="http://www.silblade.com/">http://www.silblade.com/</a</li></ul>

Default Your windshield is either extremely clean or extremely dirty. Clean it first, see if the problem

persists. Also, the windshield needs to be wet for wipers to work, if you're using too high a speed for the amount of water falling, they will chatter.

Pretty clean imo, but I'll try to clean it again. Maybe i'll add a little rainX.

Default Some people really hate that stuff, I happen to love it. You just need to keep your windshield

clean and reapply the rain-x every few weeks.

Default Does it happen when the car is sitting still, or only when moving?

If only when moving, then it's probably an airflow problem - iirc, there's some sort of 'wing' on the driver's side wiper to help keep it pushed against the glass - maybe it's missing, or at some weird angle? I've never really looked at the setup that closely, so I could be way off here.

It happens when the car is both sitting and moving.

Default Here's my routine..

1. clean windshield.
2. claybar it(some people think this is better than Rain-X)
3. apply Rain-X(I actually use Aquapel, it last longer and has none of the haze issues that some people get w/Rain-X)

That's it. I also have the teflon blades. I actually don't even use my wipers that much, but when I do there's zero chatter and zero streaking.
