SOTFA gives: 028 117 021 D but I have no way to confirm the accuracy of this #

btw, depending on where you order this from, you might get an extra threaded stud.

with this 'kit'....like world impex. most places the 'kit' is the oil cooler and the flange seal.

the "D" suffix might be correct for only the oil cooler and no seal. not 100% sure on that.

also, the RS4 oil cooler heat exchanger part IS the 1.8t one...thats how they fit the sandwich plate to the air/oil cooler under the radiator.

confused yet? :P

so the 1.8T OC is smaller so the filter and the sandwich would fit ? ....>

not confuzed

and maybe you know this .. what ECU chip do i need for my friend's 1.8T passat (2001.5 model).. i'm looking for something used/cheap for him.

But if you input this number into the search @ Impex you get just the cooler, the "E" suffix gives a

photo that includes the nipple ("D" suffix gives a price but no photo of the part so I assume that it does not include the nipple).

thats an impex thing...go to 1stvwparts.com..."E" is alot cheaper...

and doesnt come with the threaded pipe.

yeah the 1.8t one is smaller...

you can sort of see it here:

btw, im pretty sure a 2001.5 passat has the AWM engine code...maybe AUG. if you are getting a used chip+ecu, make sure the ecu PNs match.

the PNs change for tranny and AWD/FWD...and are NOT recodable.
