how's the road trip?
yes we did discuss, and i do agree there was some odd behaviour which i described before the tune that you identified as a misfire.
however the misfire was not noticeable and did not throw a code before. i am now getting P0300 random misfire codes and the misfire is very noticeable.
i am trying to get a better understanding of how the proper behaviour should be so i won't blindly throw the car from mechanic to mechanic.
from my understanding, you're saying the timing spikes are not causing the misfire but are the result of the misfire?
the misfires are on both banks, so i'm assuming that rules out a single amp failure?
anywho, i'm shooting you an email.

with EPL maf housing.
i have not tried unplugging the MAF yet. good suggestion; will do.
i emailed tony a log this morning and his diagnosis was cyl5 causing the engine to run unbalanced.
i search and found a few posts of people having misfire issues with NGK BKR7e. hmm.
the car will be diagnosed by a different mechanic on thursday.
