Can a stock S4 w/ tiptronic tranny beat an S2000? I saw a S2000 race a Civic Si tonight, and it looked like the Si wasn't even moving. Will I get smoked if I race one of these things?

but none were side-to-side. At a stop from behind, two could only keep pace after initially losing a bit of ground, they couldn't catch up.
The third tried to come up on me when I was already moving about 40 mph and didn't have a chance. I'd slow up a bit after running out ahead and as he approached pull away again.
Unless the driver really takes it high in the rpm band, they'll have a lot of troible with a chipped Tip in motion.

3k rpm launch from a stop light in my Stage 2 S4. I was about 100 feet ahead at 70mph. Not sure about stock vs. stock. Probably close.

Beat him both times from a stop to somewhere between 1/8-1/4 mi. There was a thread a few days ago on this. I beat him by a few cars (1.5-2.5 lengths) both times. I think a lot has to do with their shift points and launch. Also has to do with whether you launch too. Dyno chart of an s2k shows it being below 150 hp/tq until 6k rpm...If driven well, a s2k will beat a stock tip s4.

I have the 6speed and just driving both, the S4 seems faster. Not sure with the tip. But it would depend on the driver. Not many S2000 owners are willing to abuse their clutch just to drag race(me included). I prefer autox's.
