can you put a boost gauge on the a pillar, even though there is an airbag?

I have visions of rescue people reading the boost off your forehead if the bag goes off :-P

I've seen/heard of various places.. (more)
I don't necessarily like all of these -- I'm just listing all that I've heard :-)
1) a small gauge on the steeting column -- positioned right, it is fairly unobtrusive
2) pull out the driver's side vent, put it there
3) cut out some wood (aluminum) trim on either side of the steering column and put it there
4) futz with the center console, find a place for it there
5) replace the voltmeter in the gauge cluster - problem here would be matching the dial face, lighted needle, etc..
Those are just some that I"ve heard of :-) I'm sure there are others...

Re: any other ideas where to put it?
I am considering putting one in my glove box. Its not the best place for visibility but I don't want to cut into the car anywhere else. Means, the co-pilot will have to relay the boost info. <p>00 S4 Silver/Silver still w/ cracked windshield

Stock rims, AVS Sport 235/40R17 - no rubbing whatsoever
Even had it out on the track for a full day (well, until my brakes ignited ;-)
No tire problems at all
