Default Can you run Hbox code in a Mbox car?

It looks like you can from reading in the archives but I just wanted to be sure there were not issues. Is it recommended? Will I loose anything? The cluster just needs to be recoded right?

Thanks in advance

Yes. You need to recode the instrument cluster.

Default i just converted my H-box to run M-box code, so I suppose the reverse is possible...

...i have an H-box ecu for sale, totally stock, never chipped/flashed.

Default Thx for the help...only reason I ask...

is because I found a decent price on a MTM Chipped ECU but its an HBox. Just wasn't sure if I would loose anything important (traction control...etc) or if there were any adverse problem.

As far as switchin back and forth from stock M -> Chipped H I guess that would be a pain since I would need to convert everytime. Might be worth selling my stock Mbox for a stock Hbox. But that would proably defeat the purpose since I'm still under warranty

Is there any code which performs better than other codes? Or does it just depend on the car?

Default Pretty easy to recode the cluster.

One of the values needs to be changed from 1025 to 0 or vice versa. The details should come up in a search.

You shouldn't lose any capabilites going from M to H but I can't comment on whether or not there is a performance difference. If there is, its likely to be very minimal.
