the 3.2 are hindered by more restrictive OBDII issues.
I had a 1995 OBDI where I swapped in a 3.2l engine - the best of both worlds.
The car absolutely rocked and most of hte time I wish I had it back.

. . . but I absolutely have to have a car in the next couple of weeks. I'm in college right now (no car), and my previous car was sold a while ago. I go home in a week and start working a week after that, and I have to have car.

My car acutally has the M50 ('95) intake manifold on it - which breathes better than the stock '97 manifold... if you fully convert the car to OBD1 (or better to start w/ an OBD1 car - a '95 - and drop in the 3.2L --- like Avantgarde said), then you will have a KICK *** car.
You can still get pretty good performance from the 3.2L.. mostly by doing the M50 manifold swap, and things like intake, exhaust... and of course cams or even testpipes/etc ;-)
