Default can't get rid of this code (16502)...

16502 P0118 Engine Coolant Temp.Circ High Input

i replaced my ECT sensor and my leaking coolant expansion tank. if i try to clear the code, it doesn't even go away... coolant temps read normal on cluster and i don't appear to be losing any coolant...
also, when i replaced my dirty yellow tank with the fresh new white one, i notcied there was/ is a hose going from the bottom of the tank to nothing... is this some sort of pcv pressure release valve or something? or should it be plugged in somewhere? (no coolant coming out of it)
im lost guys! please help!

Default thats an overflow line, it should be routed on the cold side of the heatsheild directly below the

tank, just dumps to the ground in case of an overheat.

Default if that doesn't work try disconnecting your battery, that will clear codes

but it will also set your radio into security mode, so be sure you have access to the security code.
