Default Car alarm going haywire, need some help

Yesterday my car alarm was going off immediately after it got set (15 seconds after pushing lock). Finally after about three tries I got it to stay locked without the alarm going off. Then at about 1:30am it goes off again and another time at 4am. Has anyone ever had this, where the alarm seems to be going off for no reason?

That happened to me a while back. (2 years or so)

I think mine went away after replacing the battery. Something about the alarm going off because it thinks the elec. system is being tampored with to kill the batt. and thus the alarm. Definatly don't take my word on that one.

I just rememeber that I ended up taking the alarm horn out so that people would atleast stop telling me it was going off every 20 min. And that after a while it stopped happening all the time. Soon after/around the time I swapped the battery.

Come to think of it, my alarm did come on the other day after I got into my car and I had to remove the battery lead to get it to quit.
