Car feels like it's skipping a little mostly during cruising. Very minor and random. Any thoughts?

Car feels like it's skipping a little mostly during cruising. Very minor and random. Any thoughts?
For example:
Going down the highway around 70mph not accelerating, I feel these little bumps at random, like the car is hesitating ever so slightly. It's so minor a passenger probably wouldn't notice it. Frequency when I notice it could be as much as twice a second, but again it's very random.
I haven't tested it at all speeds, but I've noticed it most at highway cruising speeds. I don't recall feeling it while accelerating and definately not during hard driving. The car still moves its butt well, and is very torquey.
