Default Car starts to get warm when at idle..

When i am idling or just driving slow , my car seems to heat up then when i am driving normally the car goes back to the normal temp....Anybody had a similar problem ? no CEL's or anything , just gets warm @ idle and cools off when driving..

Default Thermostat is cheap ($30 or so) but not easy to replace...

Its underneath the timing belt, so if you are due for a timing belt change anytime soon (~60k miles is the recommended change interval around here), you now have an excuse to do it.

If you aren't planning on changing the timing belt anytime soon, its a few hours of labor for the thermostat alone. Not an easy DIY, though.

"gets warm" ? I mean, does your coolant temp needle go past middle?

Default Did they replace the thermostat when the did the timing belt?

You could try replacing the coolant temp sensor. Its only a $5 part and is an easy DIY. But the behavior you described sounds more like a thermostat problem.
