car has been drivinf perfect. No issues at all. Today I stoped at a light and it would not go into any gears. WTF. No grinding ever on this new trans. So what the hell is going on with this car?

The pedal didnt want to come up from the floor, I actually had to put my foot under the pedal and raise it back up before it went at which point my car would not at all go in to gear. needless to say it died pretty soon. My TOB was gone as was my pressure plate (too many drag runs at the track). While I was in there I replaced the slave cylinder, TOB and a new clutch. It sucked having to try and push my car with everyone honking and screaming at me, such is the life of a b5 s4 owner.

of ya and push the clutch in and bump the starter to see if the car moves forward at all. turn the key immediately off if it jerks forward , if it does not move, try to shift while sitting still "clutch in", if it does start to move, your slave cylinder for the clutch is not working anymore "clutch is not disengage'n"
hope this helps!

My RS4 flywheel done broked and couldn't shift at all with the engine running. I couldn't feel any difference in the clutch pedal.

Call me when you get the car dude. Bring it to me if it's that bad. You're one of the very few that I'll answer a call for help from.
No way that's a TOB failure, more like a linkage disconnect/alignment ****up. It's not the slave, you'd lose the fluid if so.
Worst comes to worst, have AAA tow it here. My garage in Breck is not big enough to help, but I'll do what I can for you. You have my number.

This is something simple. I am very optimistic about this prob after talking to Nigel.
