I came out this a.m. and the car wouldn't start. Up until yesterday was fine. The volt meter is showing 12 volts. I tried both chip and non-chip (APR) mode with no results.

The only thing out of the ordinary was that I filled it up with Shell's new V-power 93, though I can't imagine that is the problem.

And for the question "what did the car sound like when it didn't start?" it was the rarararara sound (technical, I know) but nothing more.

Any ideas to help diagnose this night/ day issue?

1) turn over car starts
2) turn over at normal rate, car doesn't start
3) turn over at slower than normal rate, car doesn't start
4) clickity-clickity-click-click-click
5) not turning over

Ok, so there's 5 or so which do you have?

do you have a stock ECU you can put in? Stock mode on the APR chip won't do...since there is a suspected loose connection on your ECU board.

good call, no CEL and turns over just fine without starting = possible ECU
