Default Carbon Fiber Hood

hey folks, I am looking for a carbon fiber hood. Specifically this one. Al from CPT has been trying to get a hold of the company that makes it but, no response. Anyone know how to get a hold of these guys...think Al said the company was SDR? But he thought they may have been bought by another company? If I can't get this one does anyone have any other good hood suggestions they have or have seen?

Thanks.

Talk to EPL. I believe EPL "took over" SDR, whatever that means. I remember seeing some pics of SDRs RS4 CF bumper, it's a beautiful thing.

Chief, that pic looks like my new (old) CF Hood. The unit is manuf. by Voltrag, whom I understand is out-of-busniess. Please follow AZ link to view pics of it test fitted to my car. I have taken it off now to repaint and install hood pins. Should be pretty sick when I'm done with it.

Everyone let me know what you think...

Unfortunatly the CF page on the site doesn't work. I think I read once that VIS was a good fitting hood. I think this one looks kinda cool, is available, and you might as well take a look at it.

it was Vortrag, not that it matter too much since they are out of business.

the SDR was modeled after the Vortrag, but i think the vents were redesigned. the Vortrag didn't fit well w/ the 2.7TT engine, iirc.

is it possible to get a stock-look CF hood that doesn't require hood pins?

i know people say you need them for safety, but i think you could def engineer a way to keep it securely closed with out needing hoodpins.
