Carbon-fiber hood saga, for anyone who cares...
I just got off the phone with DTM Autohaus, and they have discontinued the non-vented carbon-fiber hood. They are no longer available. They sell a vented one, which looks really good (

) but they do not recommend driving in the rain wiht it. Since I use my car as a daily driver, this is unfortunately not an option. They could not tell me where I could find a solid CF hood.
Guess I'll just have to go for the stock one...

Nothing too bad, nobody hurt, just a fender (and hood) bender. I figured since the hood had to be
replaced anyway a CF one would have been nice, but only if it came anywhere close to the stock hood price (DTM was about $300 more), which is what the insurance is paying for. I'm happy to swing several extra hundred bucks for the cause but for an extra $1500 I'd rather get coilovers.

Hey ya Pappy. You know it wouldn't be to hard to close those vents up....
From the bottom of course. The only two you would need to worry about are the bottom ones. Shouldn't be to hard to fashion some sort of pan to divert to water away from the engine once it falls into the vent. That hood looks WAY to cool to pass up.
