Carbon Fiber Trim...
I was digging through some old issues of Road and Track last night and I came across my October 1999 issue which includes a feature on the S4. Reading through the article and looking at the pictures I noticed their Imola test vehicle had Silver leather seats and "carbon fiber" trim which looked awesome.
If you check Road and Track online the article says "Birds Eye Maple" but the print version clearly shows and states "carbon fiber". (If I can get hold of a scanner, I'll post the pictures I'm referring to.)
Is there a carbon fiber trim option for the S4? My dealer knows nothing about it. If there is an option, how do I get it? That imola was sort of a euro hybrid
Carbon fiber is not an option in the US.
I think there's an aftermarket site that sells carbon fiber trims but I don't know if it's a replacement for the stock trims or is an overlay.

Someone had it at Pahrump
A guy named Alan had carbon fiber trim on his S4. When I asked him about he said it was expensive, but that he had gotten it through the dealer. I saw it too, cost around $1200 + installation
Ordered it through the dealer like Jim said, official factory stuff. The dealer installed it also which took a whole day. I think he said it cost around $1200 and I am sure the installation was expensive.
You might be better off going aftermarket such as LLTek if you are worried about costs.
