Default Nice to hear. Did you add any make-up oil during that time?

Also, would you mind sharing the Blackstone report. I'm sure the guys on the oil forum (link below) would love to comment on it.

oil forum

Default Heh, mine went the other way... plus my mileage suffered with 0W-40 weight.

Both Mobil1 0W40 and Amsoil 0W30 are rated to 10K mi, Amsoil to as much as 16K for normal driving purposes, or 6 mos - whichever comes first.

I still change my Amsoil every 5-6K regardless.

Default Change interval on the LS1/LS6's is 15,000 miles!

Of course I have changed the Mobil-1 in my 13K
mile Vette 3 times so far.. But you "can" go
15K... Mobil-1 flat out rocks.

Default 3/4 of a quart of make-up oil, all at the track. I reported that to Blackstone.

I'd post the report itself, but it's in Adobe format, and the pic poster doesn't like that. Plus, I don't have any hosting abilities. Sorry.

Default You should have an analysis done to see whether you can extend that interval.

Amsoil isn't cheap, so maybe you could save a few bucks in the long run if the oil is still in good shape.
