A CD Changer can just be plugged in.
Nav is not that simple. I'm sure adding Audi Nav to a car can be done, but expect to do a significant amount of research with your Audi Parts department checking everything from the rear window (GPS antenna is there I think) to the instrument cluster (Nav display) to see if the parts are different on a Nav car or the same.
I have seen posts on VWVortex where a Euro Nav system was installed in a US-spec Jetta/Golf. So it can be done as a DIY "kit", if someone puts the time/effort into prototyping the parts that are needed. But I haven't been around here in a few months so I can't say if anyone has come up with a parts list necessary for the S4.
I like my Nav and it is helpful most of the time. It does get confused occaisionally, but that is rare. It's useful if you go "exploring" or drive to new places you're not 100% sure of frequently.
If your car doesn't already have it, I'd suggest looking aftermarket for Nav before trying to put in a factory system.
I don't have a changer. You can get them for around $150, I think. I'm putting that $$ towards an iPod 20GB MP3 player so I don't have to deal with the CDs.

...something like $2,000 - $2,500 (parts + installation) or so though, but it includes the nice in-dash color screen.

Avalon Motorsports
