Changing the fuel filter is such a PITA. How much does a shop charge to do it.

I think next time I'm just going to pay someone to do it. It was really more trouble than it was worth. I could not get the bolt for the filter bracket back in so I just left it out and slid the filter up into its place. Once I tightened the fuel tank straps, I seemed like it wasn't going anywhere although it may wiggle a little.
I tried just loosening the bracket bolt but I could not get the filter back in without taking the bolt completely out.

since my shop is in the Northeast....
I will estimate up to an hour, since the clamp nut is ALWAYS siezed and spins in the clamp. So, I figure an hour to drop that side of the tank, cut the bolt (carefully), and replace with anti-siezed hardware. Then, at each oil change, I'll spray it down quick-like with some penetrating oil. Ahhh....life in Buffalo
