I recently did my tb and noticed the bearing sounded pretty bad in the accessory belt tensioner. All I needed was the roller, not the whole assy. for $80. I bought a replacement bearing for $11 and ground off the lip holding the bearing in on the frontside. Installed the new bearing and I'm good to go. If the pulley would happen to move on the bearing, it will be to the rear and it will make some noise rubbing on the arm. I expect no problems and have had none in several thousand miles. Sure beats $80.

Agreed. And only $64 from PureMS. :-)

No bent valves, but I wouldn't want to risk getting stranded either way. Just replacing the bearing could be OK, but I'd have to see it for myself.
