Default Cheapest way to stiffen up suspension? (Got the Evo blues)

After driving the Lancer Evolution, my 2nd test drive in the S4 makes the car seem like a heavy pig (which it's not). Excessive body roll, unresponsive steering, a bit of a floaty feeling.

Would throwing in a Neuspeed rear bar and some stiff springs help things any? I don't want to buy a new (used) car only to have to throw $2000 to make it fun.

Default Well, heavy, but not a pig.

You want to drive a pig, drive a Toyota Supra Turbo.

No input on my question, sir?

Default H&R street coilovers and a neuspeed rear swaybar

Probably the best option there, or H&R sport springs and bilstein shocks. There's better stuff out there (Stasis) but it sounds a little out of your price range, the tracksports from Stasis are 2250.00

Default I've got the H&R/Bilstein combo (~$700 w/out install)

No regrets, best $900 (with installation) I've ever spent. Significantly decreased body roll and improved steering response -- IMO, totally different driving experience.

Default well, th S4 is a heavy pig

antiroll bars will help rooll but reduce independence of suspension....stiffer springs shoudl be matched with sprot shocks capable of correctly dampening the system....

Default a bar will help the turn in and balance out some of the pig's wallow. Only stiffer springs/dampers

will really firm things up.

at the low end i'd do H&R springs over bilstein. Next would be stasis street sports. Next would be H&R avant streets on your sedan. Next would be Stasis tracksports. Next would be Stasis Motorsports. Next would be a custom moton remote resevoir setup.

Pricing ranges from about 100-150 used for the bar to over 5gs.
