Check Engine Light
Check engine light is on and I have noticed a slight drop in power. Will a throttle boot tear cause light to light to come on? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

any air/vacuum leaks will drop power,possibilities are as follows;bad by-pass valves,leaking intake,air leak at check valves.air flow meter that croaked,etc.need more info.

Torn throttle body boot will cause CEL to come on.
It did on mine . If you are experiencing power drop its the most likely culprit. Swap that boot out for a samco in any case .
