Noted. Wonder how mush the system weighs. No wonder cars are getting heavier.

Wouldn't water injection or IC misters yield more gains?

Default not neccessarily

IC misters setup to use the existing windshield washer fluid reservoir as most I've seen around wouldn't be as cold as actively cooled fluid.

Nitrous IC misters would be pretty cold, if not colder than the SuperCooler system (or one similar), but that, as well as the washer fluid setup, would both need to be refilled periodically, and while water ain't that pricey, spraying your IC's with nitrous all the time would add up.

Not to mention the SuperCooler uses an A/W IC, vs. an A/A IC, and from my understanding is a closed system.

Not sure about water injection.

Default Seeing as how its based off of the AC system. I would think the weight of the plumbing and

the fluid they are cooling. So maybe like 30lbs? no idea how much fluid, that would be the bulk of the weight.

Default The WI would probably yield more gains, but it is a system you have to maintain.

Similar to IC misting, but sprays in the intake tract right after the intercooler. Cools things down a lot and is cheaper than an FMIC or A/W unit. Downside is you have to tune it yourself, which you may or may not be able to do.

Default Remember the truck has an air-to-coolant IC so a mister would not work like on an air-to-air IC.

Boats have it made, as they have an endless supply of cold water to run through the air-to-coolant IC - this just mimics that on a temporary basis.

Default But 5 systems that weigh 30 lbs. = 150 extra total and the next thing you know you have a little

4-door that weighs 3,600 lbs. Oh wait, we already weigh that much.
