A very strange noise has popped up in my daily driving. A strange "chirping" noise when I accelerate in 2nd between 4-6K RPM. It is not consistent and it happens ad hoc. It isn't the regular turbo noise (whine) and I am wondering if I have a bad turbo. I have no chip and it is an '01 with 1900 miles. The noise is like a fast time winding down with a high pitch to it.

Anyone else hear anything similar? I will try to record as a WAV.

Chirp? Sound would be nice... sure it's not your tires grabbing?

Could be a torn TBB or f-hose, does the car seem to lose power when this happens?

Do you notice it only when the engine is cold or all over the place?
