On a silver A6 not much at all. Just the edges but this is not bad or objectionable IMHO. In CO where I live it is godsend when driving up into the mountains.(they use rocks on the road) I paid ~370 for mirrors, front bumper, hood line and driver/passanger door handles.

I just had mine installed on my silve S4 yesterday at Autovisions in Eden Prairie, MN and they did a fabulous job. They use the 3M product and it cost just under $500 for the headlights, foglights, mirrors, hood and entire front end (below grill, bumper, entire area below bumper, etc.). The only place you can tell that something has been installed is where the film ends on the hood, and you have to look closely. I'm a happy dude! Go for it.

I have seen alot of Audi's with the 3M film. Only my opinion, but, the lighter the color of the car, the more visible the film is. I've had my Hibby red A4 done for quite awhile. Here are some suggestions: find someone who has had ALOT of experience doing installations. The appearance of the film on your car has ALOT to do with the installation. There are many places (without the proper installation) that will tend to bubble or crease, making the film even more visible. Act right when you wax around/on the
film, you can get a wax buildup along the edge of the film, again increasing the visibility. Also, keep the edge of the film "clean", otherwise you'll have a defined line of dirt (especially across the leading edge of the hood). I have the film on the leading edge of the hood, both side views and entire front bumper. I do not like the look of the film underneath each door handle. Do a fingernail check before anyone gets near your car (only kindding).
Look in the archives under "Armourfend", you'll find more information that i've posted regarding the Armourfend product. There's also some links to pictures of my A4, that show (closeup) the 3m film. Hope this helps.
