Default climate control question

i scanned the HVAC controls for codes but found none. the AC just doesn't turn on. the fan blows high but just ambient temperature air blows out. the heat works fine but no AC. what gives?

TIA

Is the compressor turning off/on when you hit the Econ button?

Are you out of coolant and is the compressor coming on?

Default Has anybody worked on the car recently (timing belt work?)?

I believe one of the A4 guys had an issue with is AC, and it was shortly after timing belt work was completed. I believe it eventually traced back to a connector that wasn't reattached (for the AC compressor clutch or something like that). I doubt something like that would throw a code, so you might have to inspect the wiring to look for an issue.

Default ummm the only recent work was a wheel bearing. my car is a 00.

built in 10/99 so you think the AC needs a recharge or something?
