Default The Clunk that won't go away

I know there are a lot of posts on front end clunking. My first guess and recommendation from the mechanic was control arms. I replaced the lower and upper control arms (uppers covered under ext warranty) but the clunking persists. It occurs over bumps at slower speeds and comes from the front passenger side wheel. Has anyone any ideas for what else this could be? Tie rod end? Sway bar link?

Nope...had cv axles put in. The stealership put in the upper control arms and said the sway bar links were looking like they needed replacing. Today I had my mechanic put in the lower arms.

What is the top plate? I'm not familiar with it.

Perhaps...is there an easy way to check for this?

Default You can disconnect them, then see if the sound goes away.

To check them, it's just like the TRE, put on big wrench, see if there is excessive play. They have little rubber inserts.

Thanks! I'll give it a try when the monsoon quits...

Blown shock? Try bouncing the corner? Motor mount? I'm a n00b ... sorry.
