Default Clunking noise is being caused by my Vogtlands, the spring rotating a little -

I know this has popped up before in the archives, so if no one wants to answer, I understand, ill wait.

But I had a clunking noise when turning hard right, sometimes left..

coming from the driver front wheel well area..

Turns out it was the spring..and apparently the spring is turning a little, making that noise when I turn..right now its been lubed with silicone a little so its silent...

but how have you guys dealt with this? I remember someone had the same issue..
TIA

Default I remember someone saying front springs had to be rotated to point in a certain direction

to match how the stock springs were.

Default Try this...

Drivers side: The bottom of the coil is toward the front of the car (so if you're looking at the where the coil was cut off, that part faces inward).

Passenger side: Just the opposite...the bottom of the coil is toward the rear (the cut of the coil facing inward)

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2893734.phtml</a

Default Thrust bearing plates will do the trick.

When we put coilovers on my brother's car the springs kept binding and popping when he turned. I wouldn't think our suspension would have much rotational movement there but adding these roller plates to the bottom of the spring will allow the spring to turn smoothly. Also makes adjusting the height a lot easier.
