Clutch problem...just got done putting the engine back in and everything, went to push the clutch in

hehe, I'm finishing up my 6th, and I've yet to do that.
But if he's having clutch pedal issues, then the only places it can be are the slave, TOB or pilot needle. And if he never did a clutch replacement, the slave is the only point of failure.

Thanks guys, I was able to get the slave cylinder out by reaching up from underneath
the car, and I think it was off center...but now, I cant' get it back it...I am trying to put it straight in coming from the top, then straight down into position, but I think when I was pushing on the clutch pedal maybe it pushed it out a bit? I can push the rod back into the cylinder, but it pops back out slowly...so when I try to put it into the transmission, I can't push it in enough to get the bolt in...what can I do to relieve the pressure?

If you blew out the slave, you'd have fluid on the floor.
If not, do NOT try and align/tighten the slave while the motor is settled. That will cause you to blow it out.
Lift it up a bit and pull the motor forward a few inches. Give yourself some room. Lube the slave with lithium grease. Go at it from ABOVE. CANNOT stress that enough. Push it, hard, continuously. It will fight you like no other. It slides in and you can bolt it down (eventually).
Don't lose sight of the fact that the slave cylinder is a bitch. It takes some brute force to push it in and align, and also bolt it down. Of all the turbo swaps I've personally done, the slave reinstall is the worst part. Just don't give up.
Do not try and align from underneath, or from the side. If the slave is off, it will blow. Look from the top of the motor down and make sure it lines up. That's the key.

Well I can align it easily underneath, there is plenty of room....the only problem is that I cant
push it in enough to align the bolt...cant I like disconnect the line so that when I push the rod in it wont come popping back out when I let go? That way I could easily put the slave cylinder back in and then just bleed the system or something? I really dont want to have to disconnect all that stuff again to lift the motor out a ways...
