Default $300 per corner for springs . . . OK, but $550 per corner w/ helper springs?!?!?

those helper springs are $250 per corner?

which motorsports? the konis or ohlins? or both?

Default gotcha. seems a bit ambiguously worded,

but still, those dinky helper springs can't be almost as much as the main springs. can they??

Default Eric, in your pics what is the triangular control arm looking thing in the rear?

I can't figure out how to link to your pics, but there is a red anodized triangular part in one of the pics that looks like a new rear upper control arm. What do you get by making this piece adjustable? Where did you get it?

Default Coolness! Where does one get something like that?

I'm not totally sold on the heim joints for the street after my CPP control arm experience, but its nice to know what is out there and what it does.

Thanks!

Default you talk about your CPP experience . . . they sell them.

not sure if EF has another source or not.

stasis also has them on their race car, and i thought they were "stasis" branded, but don't know if they made them or sell them if they did. not on their site.

cpp

Default The CPP parts are well crafted and I really like the adjustability... However...

The stainless heim joint ends on my front control arms didn't last very long at all. Mine were bought and installed by AWE and they began rattling slightly within two weeks of install. I lived with it and lubed them with graphite based lubricant, but the rattling would come back. This got progressively worse as the joints wore out and within 20K (and after a North East winter season) the ball was no longer tight in the socket and the rattling was unbearable. Lubing them worked for about 15 minutes of driving them at this point.

I spoke to and emailed Dave at CPP and he was a pleasure to deal with. Nice guy. He agreed that failing ends at less than 20K didn't sound right and asked that I send him the parts. At the time they were still on the car, so long story short they came off a month or two later and I got lazy and never sent them. To this day I have them sitting in a box.

FWIW, I also have the rear CPP toe links and up until recently they were fine. Within the last month or so they have started rattling just like the fronts did. Again, lubing helps for a few days, but next chance I get I am going to replace them. I have about 40K miles on these, so I may just replace the ends rather than go back to stock. I'm not sure yet.

I think the difference is that the fronts take a lot more abuse. Now that they have the covered ends for the fronts I may re-examine going back to the front CPPs. Or maybe I'll just suck it up and stay stock... I'm sick of spendign money on my suspension

Default yeah, i know lazy. i've got the CPP fronts sitting in a box waiting

to go on my car. it's been almost 2 years!!

i'm now wondering if i can get some of the new neoprene covers and if they are an easy retrofit onto the older models. seems like they should be.
