Default the idea is the engine warms up faster under load (driving) whereas

at idle the oil stays colder longer meaning more wear-inducing friction. But seems to me putting load on the engine while cold is just as bad not to mention it drives worse.

Default Oil pan heater, get the audi unit, or an aftermarket....

They stick on the bottom of the pan.... work great!
