Default confused first time buyer!!!

just bought blk S4 avant 6 speed, love it must tune it!!! wondering what chip to go with? Also what exhaust? I'm on the road alot and would prefer an exhaust with a low roar, nothing drowning. Thanks I live in the Boston area, would like to talk with some one that has used some of these products. 5084989558 Vinny

Default Press the search button...

Seriously, there are tons and tons and tons of posts to read about chips and exhaust.

Find a local tuner you like and buy what they sell.

(FWIW, I'm running X-chip and Milltek exhaust)

Completely depends on your tastes, and who you ask.

Default remember mods can void warranties! (if you care --or even have one)

the audi pain threshold is low on this!

Default for a wireless control, I like the APR solution better, except when your cruise control button takes

a dump

Default I might get spanked for saying this, but

it seems like the most talked up chips are MTM and Abt equally. GIAC x-chip is probably close, but as much talk is negative as positive (uses high boost, could be bad for the car). Both APR and regular GIAC chips get much respect, although they are widely regarded as middle of the road. Neuspeed is a fine product, but power isn't close to the others. TAP (total audi performance) is trailing the pack, a few have bad things to say about them but the fact is that few use their product.

I've personally owned Abt, APR and now MTM. Abt was VERY fast but the car wasn't real smooth at all rpms/gears. I didn't like the APR at all, although there was probably a problem with the programming. MTM feels most like stock and others here would probably agree. You'll have to pry my MTM ecu from my cold dead fingers!

Flame suit is on...BRING IT ON!
