Default I really think that the "oven test", is not representative of what happens in the engine

I think that with air constantly moving through and in the valve


that the mean temp is a lot less than 150-175F..most of the time

Default dunno frank, when I tried to pull a hot one out of the car

after a hard drive, it was a lot hotter to the touch than when I pulled them out of the oven at 180 a couple of times. My 2nd set of valves worked fine after the oven test, but are majorly lagging in the car

Default An underhood test was done here by one of our comrades in only 80F weather...

...temperatures in the BPV area ranged from a low down around 140 to up over 170.
