Default considering this UrS4 to supplement the B5....

http://classifieds.s-cars.org/classifieds.php?a=2&b=324

The UrS4 forum is kind of slow, so I'm posting over here too. What do you guys think of this car as a daily driver to supplement my B5?

Your thoughts on pricing and maintenance issues would be appreciated. I'm going to check out the 2nd gear synchro, control arms, TB/waterpump service. What else?

TIA,
Dave

Default Very good friend of mine has had three UrS4's. Drives a '93 as his daily driver currently....

These things are tanks....

Very nice smooth ride and much more reliable than the B5....the seats are way better then the B5.

RS2 parts for mods are expensive though...

For that mileage, get him down to $4,200.00 or less.

Default I did the same thing 2 months ago. The UrS4 is my daily drive.

I paid the exact same price for a 94 S4, but with higher mileage. Issues to look out for: timing belt (obvious), steering rack, O2 sensors, interior (seat bolsters), torn exterior door mouldings and light outages in instrument cluster. VAG it before buying to see if it's throwing any codes. HTH

Default I don't know how much more reliable they are..

I know two guys who have both had tranny's go out before 70K miles as well as many other problems.
