and when I called to make the appointment the service manager told me that they put Castrol 10W-30 oil at this service interval. When I questioned him on whether I should bring my own 0W-30 synthetic oil in, he told me that they did't recommend adding synthetic oil until I hit the 20,000 mile mark. From what I have read in these pages (as well as from my owner's manual) the recommended oil is 0W-30. Is this just a bunch of B.S. from my dealer, or should I let them add 10W-30 during my S4's 5,000 mile service?

I took Mobile 1 to them at 5k, they happily installed it and have done so at 10k, 20k and soon 30k
