Default Control Arm Recall Diagnosis Procedure?

Does anyone know what to look for in regard to the control arm recall? Should I be looking for some extra play at the bushing? Something bent? Cracks?

I SFTA but didn't find anyone with any detailed information yet. Hopefully someone that has gone in already has some details. An example of something which was replaced would be ideal.

I have the aluminum uprights, so based on some other posts, I assume I'm in the affected vin range.

Default Look for cracked boots.

Even if your boots are cracked, you may not have any play. You'll usually here them when they do go bad.

Default You mean the lower control arm "ball joint" boots, or

the CV joint boots?

Lower control arm boots...since you were asking about control arms.

Default No cracking here.

Basically, even though I have ~63K on the clock, mine look as though they are quite new. Definetly no cracking. Maybe they are OK.
