Hi All,

I found this coolant leak (see link below). It took quite a bit of digging around but found it underneath the after run coolant pump. I will be replacing the seals to all 3 black pipes you see in the pic. Is there anything else I should check or do while I have the intake manifold off?

that is more common than any of those connections. some replace the pump, some just bypass it and leave it out.

Does this mean it only leaks when afterrun coolant pump runs?

Like noSup says, the after-run pump is a real weakness on our cars. They leak regularly.

I dont think so. I would smell coolant pretty much anytime the car was warmed up. I think this was b/c there was always a little "puddle" of coolant as seen in the pic. Then it would overflow and I would get a small leak every once in a while.

Is the after run coolant pump the same thing as the auxiliary water pump?
