Default Coolant Leak - Part III

So now I'm on day 3 of my coolant leak. The fluid is down a trivial amount, if at all. Regardless, a few people have suggested that its the auxiliary coolant pump, and that seems like the most likely culprit now. I took a few more pics, trying to get a shot of more coolant. It seems that it's leaking out somewhere underneath the intake manifold. The only location where I could get a good shot was here:

This is the best shot I could get:

I have no idea what runs under there so I'm at a loss now. Could some of the heavyweights weigh in on this? I'd just take it in, but my tech is out for the next week and I have a track event in two. =(

Default It might be your aux. water pump...

I had a similar problem and it was the aux water pump.

Ok, that's like fourth or fifth vote for that little POS. How long did it take them to fix?

Really, so it's easy? Now you've got me interested. How much are parts?

Default Under the intake manifold run two separate water lines....

that are sealed by o-rings. These go from the water tube between the cylinders on one side and from the heater core on the other. In addition, your aux. water pump is connected to two water hose.

On the back of the engine, you will find the two hoses that go to the heater core that are held onto their respective fixtures by spring clamps on the hoses. Still another source of a water leak is the plastic clip that holds the coolant temp switch on the right (pass.) side of the engine at the rear.

An easy suggestion to help find your leak is to remove the upper plastic "Y" pipe so you can see underneath it....pretty simple to do.

Good Luck

Default Easy but tedious as a number of things must be removed...

I wanna say the fuel rail needs to be removed but not 100% now that I think of it.

Pump itself is relatively cheap. Same pump as the UrS4s. I think $20?
