At times my sensor does not reach dead center on the gauge. Coolant temp sensor has already been replaced. Even after highway driving the temp. barely moves sometimes...
Any ideas?
Thanks.

check out my "resolution" post (link).
Keep in mind my temp moved around depending on how much airflow the car was getting. Because my secondary fan was running all the time once it came on... so when I was highway cruising, the coolant was being "over-coooled".
good luck,

p.s. Thanks again JL<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2378230.phtml">Erratic temp sensor resolution</a></li></ul>

If its close to the right mileage, do the timing belt/waterpump at the same time, since that stuff is right there too.

As I said, its an ideal time to do the timing belt/water pump if you are anywhere near needing that.

Not fun watching the temps go one notch past center in traffic. Started going close to two notches past the last week before I did the whole TB job!!! Being stuck open is fine though. It will just take longer for your car to warm up and the heater to work. You (Holographic77) have no need to worry before it gets fixed, just keep an eye on the temps to make sure it doesn't start sticking closed!
