Anyone know how much a new set uo K03's cost? K04's? What about # of hrs to install? Must the engine come out? I have heard you can drop the tranny and do it that way.

...you might be able to get them for less than that outside of the dealer network. K04's really cost about the same as K03's. If you want K03's, you might want to post here if someone has some for sale...somebody might have some brand new or nearly new ones for sale for half price. Book labor for a dealer K03 turbo swap is 26 hours I think. K04's should only take a little bit longer. Generally, the engine comes out, but some techs have dropped the subframe and done a K03 swap that way -- it knocks a lot of time off the change.

call us for pricing! We also have the RS4 turbo inlet piping in stock which is a necessity when doing this install.

Bottom line is that if your K03s are b0rked then you will be much better off installing K04s. You would end up paying about the same (if not a little bit more!) to just have your K03s replaced with a new set of K03s.

Where do you live? I might be able to recommend a tuner/shop to do the install for you. If you are in the NW then we can certainly take care of the install here. Dropping the tranny to install the turbos (without dropping the motor) is not a viable option. I can talk to you more about recommended K04 installation techniques over the phone if you give me a call at the number below.
