Default Could the MAF sensor be located after the turbo's and intercoolers or --->

is there any wat to run two MAFs?

I would like to make a FMIC that is slighty smaller than the DUH using twin vertical cores and it would work with a bipipe any no cutting if posible, but I would like to eliminate the stock intake and make dual intakes but i do not know where to put the MAF, any idea's?

Default Yes it could. The GN guys do that in some cases. Though there is no way you'll

be able to retain the bipipe in that case. Though I guess the 2 mafs could be made to work on both sides. But why?

The uber-fmic would be 2in-1out directly up over a shortened radiator. You could use a fairly large core, get a thicker radiator, a smooth flow path, and an easily adapted tb mounted maf. You'd also eliminate the high temperature flow path of the bipipe, as well as being able to sort your own inlet configuration to the turbos.

Total waste of time on k03s though. On K04(and larger) turbos, it might be pretty interesting.

Wouldn't a post turbo MAF (or dual MAF setup) require some pretty trick programming?

Default possible. check with pro-m about that dual setup...

They may know where to lead you. Usually they deal with rescaling maf's, and im sure you will need a custom metal housing to hold more pressure. forget running a bosch sensor since it will be gummed up so quick in the intake path its not even worth the time.
I know 300zx's that run dual maf setups, but they also run piggybacked : (

you have a project ahead of you, but it'll be worth it to see someone else run dual intakes. they just make up two fiberglass housings for each headlight and have dual ramair. goodbye.

p.s. you would than be able to run psshh, psshhh without any problems as well. no unmetered air anymore.
keep me updated!

Default essentially same values, just pressurized, and much more grime to blow a sensor out...

a hot wire, or somethinf to burn it all off would be a necessity to eliminate the oil/turbo blowby.

Default Nah, it'd be ok. Though you can more easily foul the sensor. The dual

setup can be done another way. You just need to sample both voltages(if its the same maf as programmed for) and average them. Useless on K03s for sure, probably even on K04s. However you could then remove the ypipe that is so annoying and hot.

Default Heh. But seriously if one were careful one

could actually simplify the whole intake system quite a bit. It'd be a fun project, but I think its probably beyond the scope of what the poster was asking for.
