Could and S4 race a new M3 and win?

If both cars with really skilled drivers, I personally don't think the S4 in stock form could beat the E46 M3. If chipped and w/ mods, who knows...

what about if it had a chip/supercharger to boost horse power to 320, the e46 has 330......iknow those bimmers are nice but Audis have to REPRESENT

and get a general sense for what sort of numbers (on average) they claim, then add .3-.4 seconds for real production cars and up to .5 seconds for real drivers and then look at the HP/torque numbers because torque and traction will launch a car but horsepower will always win up top (unless there is a really bad gearing mismatch).
And then ask yourself if that is REALLY something that's important in the 365 days a year that you drive and enjoy your car.
I had the E46 on my 3-car list and it finished 3rd for reasons which don't involve numbers on paper.

uh S4 has two turbochargers, you don't then try to supercharge a turbocharged car.
Yea, S4's have ALOT of tuning potential...far more than an E46 IMHO but you seem to have a bit of a complex about it.

the newest thing is Ko4 upgrades and that is promising. Tons of power up-top.
The question really comes down to buying a car that you want to spend money on and tweak (which is fun if you can afford it) or getting something which you don't tweak but provides satisfactory performance.
