Yeah, I noticed that big time on this car here in MI that had similar work done.
If you do port and polished manifold along with some other things, you will notice even a bigger difference. I hope you added a lot of heat shielding while the engine was out as well.

heat sheilding on what??? the intake pipes
i figure it wasn't that hard to pull the engine, although for the trouble or getting the engine to mount back up to the tranny, i will probably just drop the subframe next time...oh but yeah heat sheilding would be a good idea
