Default Creative thinkers: How do I get the last bit of fluid out of my broken rear view mirror?

I can live with it broken, but there's just enough in there to keep fogging it up on the inside and make it barely usable.

If I opened it up, would I be able to clean it out and get it back together? Would whatever that liquid is get absorbed by DampRid or some other moisture absorber?

Any other ideas?

Default take it down and leave it in a sunny window for a day or two. let it evaporate? Or do what i do with

wet cell phones. put it in a toaster oven at lowest setting.

Put it in a bag with a bunch of dessicant packages. Don't eat them though.

I read a thread a while back on audizine that the manufacture of the mirror would replace it for free if you mailed it to them. I just found the link.

Default I read through that thread, and it sounds unconfirmed. Thanks though.

From one of the last posts:

"I called today and they told me that they quit sending out replacement mirrors once 08 rolled in.. They havent sent any out for 2 months now. He did give me though a number to call of an aftermarket company that is rebuilding these mirrors for $70. I'll try to get that tomorrow as I left it at work. He even gave me the website but I left that at work too."

No update with details about the aftermarket company or the phone number though.
