Turbos have 2 jobs: Suck and blow. Much like upgrading the intercooler that reduces the pressure
drop on the blow side, similar gains can be had by reducing the vacuum on the suck side.

Drilling the airbox would have the same effect. There's no "Ram" effect on a dyno - just
what you did do was reduce the negative pressure in the airbox by cutting a big hole in it.

Where's the cooler intake charge coming from? How much shorter is
the path that the intake air follows when it passes through the 'ram air' headlight set up versus the stock piping.
