Damage control, my drain plug is stripped and won't come out. do I need to replace the whole pan?

Default Damage control, my drain plug is stripped and won't come out. do I need to replace the whole pan?

are there any other options like a reverse tap?
anyone else go thru this?

drill it and use a tap.. if you FUBAR it up.. the pan is inexpensive and an easy swap

if I'm not leaking any oil now can I wait until my next oil change to replace the pan?

Default I don't know that I would risk running around like that.. but I worry about that kind of stuff.

Does it tighten at all or just feel mushy?
