Default Did you replace the whole unit or just the bulb? The contacts get really corroded and this causes

the lights to work intermittently or not at all. You have to dig in the trunk and take apart part of it to replace them. I think there's a write-up I followed in the Tech Article section.

Default I had the same problem. At first I thought it was the bulb...it wasn't. (Inside)

The issue turned out to be that the contacts were no longer "making contact". So what I did was clean the contacts of any corrosion I could see, and then I had to bend the contact prongs so that when I replaced the bulb fixture the prongs would make nice solid contact.

I also went to the length of testing all of the wiring, etc with a multimeter prior to doing this.

Hope this solution works for you.
