left keys in ignition.....got out and close door............forgot about keys in car.....went to bed
woke up this morning to find keys in a locked car..........i dunno how it locked it, but it did.

Your car will lock itself if you don't open the driver's door within a certain amount of time after
hitting the "unlock" side of the fob.
I've been removing stuff from my trunk and had it lock the car on me because I didn't open the driver's side door.

It happened to me .. I unlocked my doors, started the car, got out of the car, and the doors were...
locked, with the engine running, during the huge blizzard this year, for 24 hours straight. I have absolutely no clue how it happened, but now i always leave my drivers window open a bit if i leave the car with the keys in it.
