Default Daphne 1, Shaguar XJR 0
Driving back from a Dr's appointment I'm behind an XJR (I like how the R is bigger and in red.) Older guy tries to smoke me on a twisty back road to no avail so he turned off the road in shame.

The V8 in that thing sounds nice, but no match for the Silver Avant. Imagine how he feels knowing that his fancy cabrio can't beat a mommy mobile wagon.

is the XJR all that much slower?

or did he have you in acceleration, but you won because of the turns?

Default It is an automatic. How could his skills possibly have anything to do with it. Mash the throttle -
that is all. It just gets to me whenever I hear this "its the driver" stuff re street races. With a manual trans, maybe, but with an auto - come on. You mash it and it downshifts and everything. Your car just kicked his butt, or he wasn't trying.

Default Well, the twisties are all driver
and he might have underestimated the power of the Avant so he didn't floor it initially so ultimately I got a jump on him.
