Default Darn paint chips!!

Just washed my baby today and noticed a paint chip on the rear bumper, on an upward facing surface!! Have a nice hole in the paint down to the black plastic...grr.

So, anyone know how to touch up a silver car without making repainting the entire thing?

I don't suppose there's a clear bra for the whole car

Default Have you tried on the silver?

When I had a scratch on the front bumper repaired by a body shop I asked what it would take to fix some of the chips. He said that because it is a silver metallic color it would be impossible to get touchup paint that would match. You would end up with little gray or off-color spots. The only other option would be to repaint the entire thing, which seems a bit excessive.

Default I have Santorin, bought the Audi touch-up kit and then proceeded....

Essentially you make a "bubble" of paint and clearcoat, burnish it down, rub it out with polish and..wha-la. The Car Care site has more info that is essential to know for a "sweet" finish.
